Venting...

Back on this, I havn't been on a while. New stories to tell i guess. My seizures are no longer under control due to baseball accident 4 years ago. I have had muliple seizures within the last couple of months. I am currently recieving treatment at UCLA neuroglogy dept. Right now the lastest is just uping my medication from 150mg to 400mg within the last 3 weeks(topiramate). If I have one more then its going to be a medication change. Well i guess this is all I got for now. Any input would be great. Thanks!

I am in the same situation. I do not want to change medications so I am doing a lot of reading into other possible factors that may aggravate seizures. I have made an appointment with a counselor to determine if stress is a factor. I am using the seizure diary on this site. My main symptom is what I call "fleeting aura's" I talk to people or am in a certain situation and I feel that it has happened before. It goes away after a few seconds. This is much better than it was before I was diagnosed and treated. If this continues, I may have my Lamictal XR increased but that is my last option before changing medication. My diagnosis is simple partial temporal lobe seizures. I will also look at healthy eating habits. They are not horrible right now. I do exercise. I am hoping for the best.
