Jaw pain and stuttering

Sat, 12/13/2014 - 00:55

I was just recently diagnosed with epilepsy and am new to all the effects of tonic clonic seizures. I've had several in the past month. Is it normal to have jaw pain/stiffness. Like it's hard to open my mouth to put food in and hard to chew on it. It's just on the right side though. Also, I'm having trouble speaking. It's like my thoughts come but the words won't come out when they should or how they should.

Hi dearfairchild, I noticed that I never relaxed my jaw in the days between seizures (complex partial seizures) and my teeth and jaw ached a lot. It still does from time to time. Also, I absolutely have trouble finding words, it's so frustrating and scary I hate it

I have anxiety seizures.I get

I have anxiety seizures.I get a feeling in my stomach like I am going to be sick or i feel tingly all over.. My jaw locks,... I cant speak but I can look at someone and the next thing I know I am waking up on the floor. While I am out cold I hurt all over and cant hear or feel anything. When i was 11 I was diagnosed with gramol seizurs.... it only happens when I am upset ... stressed or in pain.  When I am out here is a great example of how it feels..... That feeling you get in your feet when they fall asleep and you hit the feet to wake them up  and it gets worse. I feel that 8 times more. Sometimes I twitch and shake and sometimes I dont. I do the same when I throw up ( had one while pregnant with my son)
