Post Bariatric Grand Mal

Fri, 08/12/2016 - 06:18
Hello Folks I was under medication for epilepsy for about 15 years as a kid and then had been away from medication for 12 years and seizure free for about 25 years. I am currently 43. I had a bariatric (weight loss( surgery a year and half ago and my grand man returned last month. Has there been anyone in this group who has gone through this? I have another query: I am a long distance leisure cyclist and have lost my confidence to get back on the saddle. How long do we have to be away from cycling after a seizure? I have started driving my car after a month.

if yo were still taking meds then I would suggest you contact your neurologist because weight loss can affect medication dosages. However not taking meds for some time this may be a one time thing. I would still contact my neurologist and ask questions.
