Epilepsy with scar

Tue, 01/08/2013 - 08:52
Dear Sir,
My brother has a scar in Central brain. He has taken all max effective drugs for past 4yrs. His first episode starts at age 15. Later he took drugs as doctor said. But not curable. Now he is getting unconsciousness for 1min, but 3-4 time continuously sometimes. Many doctors told to do operation. But we are scared to do.  Is there any other way other than operation.
yoga, massaging or anything helps?
Any solution other than operation in  Siddha, Ayurveda or  Unani
Expecting your reply
Thanks

Can you seek second opinion from another neutral dr in the area on operation?

Sometimes a change in medication may help but if the area of the seizures in the brain is localized, there has been great success with surgery.

Since it's confirmed that there is an area of the brain that has scar tissue and that this is where the seizures are originating, yoga or massaging are ineffective to control seizures.
