According to the Chicago Tribune: "A diet high in zinc may help the brain make a chemical that prevents epileptic seizures. It's the neurotransmitter GABA, important for many brain functions. Says UCLA neuroscientist Barry Sterman: Zinc is the building block for GABA, and GABA stops seizures."

30 milligrams of zinc is recommend by Recent-Health-Research, but I would definitely check with your neuro or internist first.    Phylis Feiner Johnson   www.epilepsytalk.com
