What kinds of meds do yo take?

Hi there, I take 2000mg keppra,2000mg epilim and 20mg clobazam a day, a strange combo possibly but as we all know with AEDs it's horses for courses but this works for me. One thing that has occurred to me albeit from another country is the speed with which your meds seem to be chopped and changed in the U.S. In the U.K you don't pay for meds so things seem to looked at over a period of time rather than taking one med one week and switching to another the week after if the desired effect isn't reached immediately or maybe I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Please tell me what you think, I'm very intrigued by the different approaches in different countries. Maybe this is a topic for a whole new thread altogether. Andy. As I wrote to someone else, I have tried all kinds of medications. Currently, I am taking 600 mg of Lamictal and 240 mg phenobarbital. Approx 6 months ago my gyn gave me some micronor tab (natural progesterone) because my seizures correlate with menstral cycles. You did not specify what type of seizures you have. If they are related to menstral cycles, check with your gyn. Just an FYI, I didn't have any luck with the male doctors I was seeing. Everyone told me there was no medical study showing seizures and menstral cycles being related. The first time I saw this woman she said she didn't see why not. Your brain controls your hormones and your hormones control your brain. So far, my seizures are becoming less frequent and when they do occur, they are not nearly as bad. Good luck to you.
