VIMPAT - causing Lupus, shrojens syndrome

Sat, 09/10/2016 - 20:59
My daughter started having seizures at 19 for no apparent reason. For 2 years the doctors said it was in her head.We must have seen 5 neurologists and had every test ever given to detect the problem...I finally took her to the UCLA Brain Institute and the first day there the doctor said she has epilepsy and is photo sensitive and another form. THe FIRST DAY...and all these knucklehead doctors couldn't find anything wrong with her...LOL> Well they put her on VIMPAT...they said a new drug...shes been seizure free for 2 years... NOW...just recently she has been feeling sick and her joints hurt and we saw a blood specialist and he said she tested positive for LUPUS and shrojens syndrome. WTF? Her white blood cell count is down and she has a rheumatoid factor positive and possible diabetics test is positive. My kid is 97 pounds. she a tiny little thing at 53".. what is going on??? So Ive been reading up on the drug and Lupus and other auto immune diseases can be brought on by certain drugs taken and i wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced anything similar?
