Topamax side effects

Wed, 07/12/2017 - 04:12
Hallo ... I'm taking Topamax for three years. His effect on my epilepsy is perfect. But its side effects are terrible. I have no sweat, I'm overheating, I can not to sport or exercise or physical activity. In warm, or if i exercise i have red hives on my body. My dose is 100mg in the morning and 100mg in the evening. My doctor decided to put down 25mg of the morning dose. So 75 mg in the morning and 100 mg in the evening. Do you think it can help with these side effects?

I'm not sure if it'll help or not. I would imagine so? But I'm on Topamax for migraines and I have awful side-effects so I sympathize. this drug is such a double-edged sword. Although I just started experiencing warm feet? Where are you getting it?

I don't know Topamax but May I suggest talking to your doctor about a med called LaMICtal, If that dose not work, I went a whole year without arua or seizures taking a martial arts class. It was not so much what I learned, the over 100 jumping jack, stretching, working my body at least 5 days a week.  You have heard it before," use it or lose it". Exercise make sense. As soon as I stopped everything came back with in a week. Good luck, life with out seizures can be amazing, always try new things don't let it win.

Hi there,  I am a Topamax

Hi there,  I am a Topamax taker and sympathizer as well.  it is definitely a double-edged sword.  It is very effective in both controlling my seizures and migraines, but the side effects can be brutal.  When my dose was doubled 50 mg to 100, the side effects were very difficult.  My neuro put me on a brand name extended release which has really helped the side effects.  However - the catch is that my insurance won't cover it.  So I have a coupon that gives it to me for free for one year, then....? One thing to think about would be to discuss not only the size of your dose, but the ways in which your dose is broken up.  Changing the way the medication is released in my body has made a difference.  Be well.
