Titration from Trileptal to Vimpat
Mon, 03/23/2015 - 18:03I have spatial seizures that are 100% controlled by Trileptal. My blood sodium level is now too low. I will begin titration to Vimpat tomorrow. I would like to to know what to expect from others who are taking Vimpat.

Moving from one medication to another medication if done right can keep your seizures controlled.Vimpat is a good medication and I use it in conjuntion with keppra (geberic) It helped reduce the number of seizures I was having with keppra alone. Both keppra and vimpat not only reduced the number of seizures I had but they also shortened the seizures and time to get back to normal. The simple partial seizures I have now most people woulf not know I had a seizure. That includes doctors. I had one while discussing an issue wit hmy PG and the delay I had was a seizure when he thought it was me trying to get a word for the sentence while we were talking.. Instead of minutes my seizures are now a few seconds. I hope this helps and the vimpat works for you. Joe
