Sun, 10/15/2006 - 16:14
Hi, Is here anybody who have been on Tegretol and Keppra? I have been taking Tegretol last ten years and next few weeks I'm going on Keppra as well. (Tegretol 1000mg + Keppra 1000mg) What's your dosage and do you have side effects? Thanks Dragonfire

My daughter aged 11 has been on both for the last five months. She is now on 700 mg Tegretol and 2500 mg Keppra a day, which is the highest dose allowed for her age and size BUt its now working !!! yippee. She started on tegretol and so the adding of Keppra took time as the dosage was slowly stepped up, and during this phasing in period she was tired, had heachses etc but really wasn't too bad. I understand that one of the main side effects of Keppra to watch for is depression, but she is fine. For us, we have found it a good choice.
