Stress or medication?

I started to retake Valproic acid on October 4th and 6 days in, I felt an ulcer. I was nervous a couple days before that and have been the whole time. I saw it said that stress can cause ulcers, before that, my mouth was red. Is it from the medication or just pure stress? I start 3 pills next Saturday. Sometimes when I brush my teeth, I leave it sitting there (my tooth brush) could this have made my gums red and each time I do it, it is bothering my gums? There have been no other symtomps. I was stressed that I would get the ulcers then the same night I got them. Is it just my stress level building up? My mom said try to relax. Do I wait and see if they get better? All of the others I had disappeared. So, I don't think it's the meds.

You might want to check the side effects. If I am not mistaken bleeding gums and ulcers are listed. But then I took valporic acid back in the 80's and I have slept since then
