St John's Wort and grapefruit juice
Mon, 10/23/2006 - 01:03Topic: Medication Issues
I'm far between neuro visits, and have heard it's not a good thing to mix St John's Wort or grapefruit juice whith anti-sz meds. I'm taking Lamictal and clonazepam just now. Anyone of us who knows why not- so as to satisfy my couriosity?

I used to drink alot of grapefruit juice and with my meds. Which I learned many years ago that certain meds can be a no-no. I just decided to not drink it anymore, which I miss. Also be very careful with herbs and meds.
But here is a few sites from my support group.

Why Should I NOT drink Grapefruit Juice with my meds?
Just with some meds.

Grapefruit juice isn't common in Australia, so I don't think we need to really worry about this issue. lol!!
