make sure to tell your neuro

make sure to tell your neuro ASAP!!! it could be nothing, but it could be a rare side-effect of the Topamax. Topamax can cause occular pressure to build up in the eye (glaucoma) and if not treated impair eyesight or even cause blindness. It is easy to fix once diagnosed. So please tell your doctor IMMEDIATELY so he/she can test your eyes for this and make sure this rare side effect isn't happening. I would hate to see anyone lose eyesight. p.s. not trying to scare you, just want to help look out for you! ~pamela

Here is info on a known eye

Here is info on a known eye problem with Topomax. "Glaucoma A very small number of people treated with Topamax developed an eye condition like glaucoma. If you experience blurred vision or difficulty seeing that comes on quickly, perhaps with eye pain, notify your doctor immediately. These symptoms usually occurred during the first month of treatment. If action is taken promptly (including stopping the Topamax), the symptoms will go away, but if they are not treated, permanent loss of vision could result." http://www.epilepsy.com/medications/b_topamax_serious.html I second the idea that it's best to get this checked out (asap) best wishes, ~sol
