Have been on Klonopin for 34 yrs. Used to be on others but titrated myself to this. Have tried all the others with either no effect or allergic reactions except keppra, which i havent had. Tried antidepressants for mood but nothing helped except wellbutrin and that is another story alltogether. I am fairly lucky with only nocturnal seizures. I dont feel that limited except for the mood swings/irritability. I can drink like a fish if I choose, smoke pot, all the crazy stuff that they say not to do. And dont know how I would get by without coffee. But stopped using pot as of the new year and began having clonic seizures - something new to me. Did have some in December so its probably not withdrawal and has auras during the day - again new to me. So the question is - Do I up the clonopin or try something new? increase the AED so I can take wellbutrin or ritalin? Do I even have epilepsy or bipolar that presents with seizures? I am so f***ed in the head right now. I have been drugged my whole life and cannot truly say I have ever experienced joy, just blunted bouts of happiness. My children have never witnessed me having a seizure and I wish to keep it that way but this "turn" that I took in the new year has me concerned.

PS - Dont wish to sound like I have it that bad as I realize the majority of people with epilepsy have it MUCH worse than me. But would rather hear your opinions that the know nothing neurologists
