B. Snow,

I just tried to call ya, but no answer. ( I recognosied the area code right off because I have some relatives out there in that exact same State of Virginia. My question for you is what would be the best times for I or anyone to contact you?

Also, if you're interested in getting more repliers, I'd be glad to give you several more website addresses where other epilepsy community forums and groups are located.

I could spend an entire week telling you how epilepsy has impacted my life!...I am 53 years old and was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago after having a car accident.  Fortunatley no one was hurt.  I am taking the medication Tegretol, and I have to take 8 capsules a day..I started with four and it was graduallly increased.   At first I was extremely tired but now I have adjusted to it.  I have had a zillion tests and video eegs and yet no one can seen to find any cause.  I am beginning to look at menopause very seriously becasue it seems to be when all of this started.  I am unable to drive and this has caused a great deal of stress for me as to work out ways to get to work, food shop etc.   I live alone and was very independent until I was unable to drive.  My state says I must be seizure free for 1 year and then cleared by a medical review board.  My prblem is how can I know, when I don't even know when I've had a seizure?..I rely on someone with me to tell me.  I have TLE so I do not have grand mal seizures, only what seems to others as to not focusing on what I'm doing.  Any info would be greatly appreciated...THanks.....Beth

I think you would get more of a reply from people if you make it a toll free number to call. Some of us make alot of long distances phone calls.

THANKS,
