Problems with Vimpat
Sun, 10/25/2015 - 23:06My son has been on vimpat 200mg as an add on medication since June 2015. This morning after taking his usual dosage, he had such severe nystagmus that he couldn't walk due to dizziness. Will talk to neuro about this next week, but was wondering has anyone become sensitive to vimpat after using it for awhile, and then experiencing the nystagmus and dizziness side effects? Thanks!

Call the neurologist and discuss this issue with him. Don't wait since it could be a side effect. I take Vimpat but I haven't had any issues with it and it was a couple of years ago we added it to my keppra
