how can they consider

how can they consider phenytoin sodium is the as the brand name Dilantin. was taking Dilantin at the age of 5 yr.'s old and later adding phenobarbital to also be taken, how can they claim there's no difference in the generic which is giving the person who has to take it can tell the different when it's made by different manufacturing co.'s, how it reacts to your system you can tell it's not the same  as they claim it to be  because they're not made the same, causing side effects when having body system when it has to start over by getting  a different generic co. because it also is made outside of the U.S. and is manufactured much different. my dr. tries to tell me they don't make the brand name anymore  I was on and had no severe reactions like I do now, noticed by given a refill it came from a different drug manufacturing co. that was causing my skin to become irritated, the dr.'s office tries to claim it's from a laundry detergentor other soaps. I've been using other soaps plus this detergent before I got this refill. they had me see a DE terminologist and they look at it the other way, prescribes a skin cream, that's suppose to help stop the itching, it does no good. the dr. want switch me off this generic to the brand name I was currently on. plus got switched without being notified, when noticed it wasn't the right brand told the pharmacist this isn't the right medicine, was told the reason for the different name brand is do to the cost of the brand name, saying the reason for the switch over is because no one or not enough wanted to deal with having to pay a co-ay.  can't figure this out, why you can't get slowly weaned or have medicine dosages changed when gone seizure free for 5 straight years. i'm tired of them playing head games because it effects me and not them one bit having to be the one who has to suffer with this.  i did my own research in found out  i can get off the crappy generic drug and back on the brand name because i found a place that still carries it. so i'll be switching to there instead of dealing with one that now almost haves nothing but generics

Phenytek will not be

Phenytek will not be available until October of 2018. I spoke to Mylan on August 10th. I am in the process of transitioning back to Dilantin, which I took from 1968 to 2009. It would have been nice if either our pharmacies or Mylan had given us a head's up. Good Luck to everyone in finding an equivalent.
