Depakote is one of the older

Depakote is one of the older seizure medicines currently being used, but a very helpful one for some types of seizures. Like any medicine, it has side effects. It's important to talk to your provider about these, especially if you are a woman considering pregnancy, are on contraception, or have concerns about possible thinning of the bones.

I took depakote for 5 days

I took depakote for 5 days back in the mid 90s when I was 12. It caused me to start wetting the bed back then, which is why I was on it for such a short period of time. I've never come across or heard of anyone else having that side effect. Don't want to scare you off into not taking it, but thought you should know it happened to me

My daughter's doctor told me that my daughter need to have surgery to remove a small tumor from her brain which she said is causing her to have seizures but on the other hand she says that she is not sure this will stop her seizures. My question is should  I let her have the surgery.   Scared mom
