Neurontin Side-Effects.

Thu, 11/10/2005 - 03:40
My Doctor has so far told me that I have Myoclonic jerks, sleeping and awake. We have also found out that I have mild seizures at night, I have a kind of seizure where I shake all over. I am now on Trileptal 1500 mgs, Klonopin 1.5 mgs, and Nuerontin 2400 mgs. I've just started Neurontin 2400 mgs a day and I feel drowsy. What concerns me more is that I feel like I have no personality and like like I have an apathy (mental depression). I'm hoping this is short-term. I usually have a bubbly personality, love to laugh a lot. Can anyone tell me their experience with Neurontin?

Just becareful and be aware that you can get a rash for the first few weeks. if you do you have to call the doctor right away. I was on it for nine days. And I noticed a rash on my butt. I was placed in the hospital and taken off immediately. take care and good luck Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EpilepsyApproach/

I was on Neurontin for a while because they were trying to get my leg to stop shaking. I am diabetic and have neuropathy in my legs. I took it for a while and it made my shaking go into jerking and I would fall at work. I was also getting very confused according to my coworkers. I got off pretty quickly. Everyone of the drugs I have taken so far has made me either a little depressed, anxious or sleepy. I hope it works for you. Good luck.
