Medication & Ins coverage

Hi need suggestions. I started a new job last month. I've been trying for 2 weeks now to get my Lamictal and Topamax approved thru my new insurance. I have to take the brand name because I have seizures on the generics. I've tried everything from calling the insurance, a note from my doc asking the pharmacy for ideas. I can't afford over $1,000 a month for each rx until I hit my $5,000 deductable. Any suggestions from anyone on anything else I can try to cut the cost?

I have a medicine cost

I have a medicine cost situation as well the medicine is so expensive that I break into the coverage gap in one month and am in it ALL YEAR.... the cost of Vimpat, Levetircetam, and Tegretol is ridiculous and would bankrupt me if I did not have a private charity helping me. I need Extra help from the government but I am barly outside the gap that they consider not able to qualify by a mere $500 when these meds cost thousands per year.I am working hard to get off disability, but that has it's risks also. It will be hard to get back on if I prove I can work, however I am only doing it because they are not giving me a choice but to do whatever I can to at least attempt. In order to make ends meet however I will need a job with at least decent insurance and a income of about $30,000. Right now I work part time at Home Depot for $10 and the only reason I Work is the disability does not pay my bills.
