Any one on this drug solely for seizures? It has been add to my regimine for further control. I feel dizzy mostly and cannot hold my balance. I also had diffuse chest pain for a few days. My friend had cardiac problems and had to have a stress test to rule out a heart attack. Luckily, he's ok. Have you all heard anything about that?

I have been on Lyrica since March. I started at a low dose of 150mg and now I take 75mg in the AM and 150mg in the PM. My dr wanted to increase, but when I tried to do that, I had the drunk dizzy feeling that was refered to. Not fun getting out of bed in the middle of the night and almost falling on the floor when walking to the bathroom. Other than that experiance I have not had any noticable side effects. It has worked great at helping to control my seizures. I am also on Trileptal and Zonegran so I have quite the mix.
Quick question...when you have experianced the dizziness how soon did it kick in after taking your meds? Just wondering how it compares to what I experianced. For me it was about 5 hours after taking the dose.

Hi, My doc added Lyrica to my Keppra dosage just a week ago. I'm only on 75mg a nite right now, but will be titrating up to 150mg in am and 150mg in pm over the next 4 weeks. I started on Monday nite, and by Wednesday nite, I was feeling drunk within a few hours of taking the Lyrica. My epi had warned of the "lightheadedness", so I wasn't too surprised. However, I did have the chest pains you mention last nite for a while, and tonite, I feel like I've been on a week's drinking binge ! WHOA !! Dang near fell on my backside when getting up off the chair on the front porch. I hope this doesn't last long, or my kids will be having a great time making fun of me! Hope it gets better for you!
