Lyrica

I have started taking Lyrica in the last month and I am wondering if anyone else is on it? It is a fairly new drug, FDA approve June 2005, so I don't know many who are on it. Let me know if you are on it or have been so we can talk about what side effects you had.

Thanks for the info. I have done some research on Lyrica...I can check about the hair loss and heart palpations. I know that weight gain is one of the side effects. Thanks again.

I hated it.
First of all Blue Cross wouldn't pay for it, they thought it was just for diabettis and nerve pain. I don't have either of them. So I got a letter from the medical director dening me coverage for it. I never had any problems before.
So I lived on Saples. The first week was 25mg 3 times ady. I was light headed .Then I got more sample 75 mg, tablets. So I took it just at night it was horrible. I was having drop seizures. Like I never had before. Finnally I got off of it and they increased my keppra. About a month or so later they increased my keppra and lamactal, cause I had to work. Then i felt so nauses. After feelling horible I went to see a Dr. She said I had all the side effects of being on too much medds.

I have been taking Lyrica since October of 2005. I am loosing my hair not sure if it is from that or hormones. I am a bit more hungry. I have heart palpatations. I have had more problems but it could be from hormones or just the change itself I dont know.
