Lowering costs of Epilepsy medicine...

Fri, 08/11/2017 - 16:09
I am trying to lower the cost of my epilpesy medicine. I am on disability, and am capped at what I can earn, however the cost of my epilepsy medicine is around $6000 per year. This cost causes me to neglect my other medicines due to not being able to afford to live. Currently I am taking: Tegretol Vimpat (outrageously priced stuff) Levitiricitam (also outrageously priced) The government says I make too much money for help... not even food stamps. However this cuts into my budget so much that it even cuts into my cost of living, which if was not subsidized by a family member I would be on the streets.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( may I suggest looking for prescription saving coupons online of some sort? Sometimes they have those kinds of things. Some only work at certain pharmacists though so double check! May God bless you.

Some of the pharmaceutical companies offer discounts directly if you are having trouble with the cost of their drugs.
