Hi, e-mail: priyakannen@yahoo.ca My name is Priya. I am a mother of an almost a 5 year old boy with the diagnoses of Autism, "Tiny" Stroke. My little boy just now, has one more diagnosis; Epilepsy. He was on Clobazam for 5 weeks. It broke my heart to watch my son leaving for Kindergarten with drowsy, drunken eyes. With muscles as strong as sea weeds which made him prone for more falls. Weened off from Clobazam, on the increment dosage of Lamictal ( Lamotrigine) for 3 weeks. Somedays, he giggling and lying on the floor. Better days noted when he manages to sleep for 10 hours Pls, anyone has any experience on minimising the side effects and what issues/ problems they have encountered with receiving Lamictal, shed some light for me!! My son is supposed to achieve theraputic level at 50mg twice daily range. Thanks in advance! Priya.

Hiya, I cannot recall where on the site right now, but I have just also sent an inquiry out about Lamotigine when I read on another topic that a woman's son was taking it. It may have been under the Diagnosis topics. I think the woman's name is Ellie and I am waiting for her response. Search around and you will find it. My son has just started on Lamotrigine and I am also trying to find out as much as I can. I will keep you posted. Good Luck Mamma Bear
