Lamictal with Zonegran added

Has anyone been on Lamictal with breakthrough seizures and had Zonegran added to the Lamictal? My daughter is on 500 mg. daily of Lamictal and now also 200 mg. Zonegran which will be increased to 400 mg. after one week. She mostly has complex partial seizures but has also had one tonic clonic seizure. Any input on the effectiveness of these 2 meds taken together would be appreciated. Thanks.
