Lamictal & Ginko

Sun, 06/11/2017 - 22:01
Hi there fellow epilepsy warriors! I was wondering if anyone has used ginko with lamictal (lamitrogine) to assist with the dizzy spells, light headedness etc I was diagnosed at 21 (now 30) with grand mal seizures and have always experienced these side effects but they seem to be worse the last few months. Im on 200mg twice a day and have been on lamitrogine since being diagnosed..... 10 months seizure free but this spinning feeling is driving me insane! This is a known side effect with allot of epilepsy medication but any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

our child gets those symptoms

our child gets those symptoms when her dose is too high at a time (effects hit ~90 minutes after a dose), switching from twice a day to three times a day dosing smoothed things out - doing extended release would do same thing for her but she doesn't take pills, currently does the dissolvable tablets. work with your doc to get rid of unworkable side effects as you just might not tolerate the med or it could be some other medication issue. our then neurologist did not consider that was the problem as the daily dose is moderate. after trying many other things, I asked about how we could check if the med was the problem and we haven't gone back to twice a day dosing because that is the difference between functional and non functional.
