Keppra Withdrawal

Mon, 09/22/2014 - 13:20

Recently my daughter got married and I've been extremely busy in the days leading up the wedding.  I put my medications in a 2-week pill box.  When I went to fill my box this morning, I realized that I hadn't taken my Keppra in almost 2 weeks.  I noticed last week that I was feeling "dizzy" (for lack of better word) much more frequently but I thought it was the Keppra making me feel off. Today is a day where I'm really feeling yucky; maybe because I realized that I haven't taken the Keppra for awhile.

Anyway, does anyone else have experience with suddenly coming off Keppra?  I called my doctor and her medical assistant told me not to worry and just get back on it.

If you get back on it you should be fine. It may take a few days to get your levels back up. I went about a week one time because I was camping and my meds fell into the river without me knowing it. We were out in the wilderness which takes a couple of days to get into. I didn't have a seizure but at times I felt a little wierd once home I took a few more daily which got me back to normal faster.
