Does anybody take Keppra on its own to control Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy? I thought it was just an add on and it does not seem to be working totally.

Keppra is being used more and more on it's own, depending on the severity of your siezures. I am taking 750mg/2 times a day and it has controlled my siezures completely so far. I am not extremely familiar with Juvenile Myoconic though. My seizures did start when I was much younger and at first, I was put on depakote-which is a great drug when it comes to controlling but there are side effects...Anyway, I hooe that I was able to help some. Good luck with it.

hi i'm a 23yrold who is also on Keppra but i'm on 100mg twice a day and it pretty much has made me seizure free except i have oner every 6months. I too started having seizures when i was younger around the age of 12. out of all the AED's i've tried i found Epilum the worst as i put on 40kg in amonth. i'd love to get to know you a bit more as i don't know many people with epilepsy or that are on Keppra.
