Increase in autistic behavior with Keppra er

Tue, 01/17/2017 - 09:33
My husband had a grand mal at 54. He probably had unrecognized absence seizures and twitches before that. He is on keppra er, 2000mg, and Vimpat, 400mg. Since he started this medication, he has become more irritable (a listed side effect). My problem is that his rigid behavior has increased too. In our family, we all have Asperger's syndrome, a form of high functioning autism. Believe me, I know rigid behavior when I see it. He also seems to have language processing and memory problems. Does keppra contribute to any of these autistic behaviors and lanquage/memory problems?
