What state are you in, I am

What state are you in, I am on 2000mg of Keppra and it works unless I have high anxiety but I pay only $37/m which would equal about $55/m if you are taking 3000mg a day. I get mine at Publix Pharmacy but before six months ago I was getting 1500 mg for $125 at Walmart. Now I am getting 33% more for 75% less by using Publix.Shop around to different pharmacies in your area, you should be able to find Keppra alot cheaper. The $37 I pay I can totally afford but I don't know your financial situation.I will tell you I felt kind of wronged by paying walmart so much for so long over 2.5 years.  Shop around I just joined this site my email is brettcatanese@gmail.com if you want to message me directly.I currently live in FL but moving to NV for the CBD oil in a week.

I know the expense of using

I know the expense of using keppra. I was using it for years and it was costing me 985.00 a month. Which was a little over 2 weeks take home pay. Doc knew it and when the generic came out we talked. He wrote a RX for the generic and I have been using it since then, Levetiracetam is the generic name and for the same amount costs 538.00. Now that was back in 2005. Prices have changes but the generic works and I have used 6 different makers of the generic..

I stopped taking large daily

I stopped taking large daily amounts of Keppra regularly by slowly reducing the amount of each dosage to zero over a few months.  I proceeded slowly so as to minimize the risk of sudden death from stopping such dangerous medications like most AEDs tend to be with any cold turkey stopping.  Since previous Medicaid providers cut me off from Tegretol cold turkey just after the 1989 San Francisco earthquake with the excuse the neurologist fled to Hawaii out of fear, I figured Medicaid would present a similar snafu again with Keppra, and they did in 2012 with the excuse the State was making the Medicaid pharmacies lose about a $100 on each near $1000 monthly refill, so I was somewhat prepared by having hoarded a bunch of near (now definitely) out of date expired Keppra for such weaning and an emergency large dose when I get a definite warning of an impending strong tonic-clonic secondary seizure.  Keppra has a short half-life, so it matters to slowly reduce the amount of strength of each dosage instead of reducing the number of dosages per day in any attempted weaning.
