Has anyone ever been on Catapres?

Fri, 07/28/2006 - 19:05
My 8-year old is going to start Catapres in order to make sure she gets enough sleep to see if this helps to control her seizures. Recently, it seems that she has more frequent seizures on weekends, she does go to sleep a 1/2 hour to an hour later on weekends, so her doctor wants to see if ensuring she gets enough sleeps alleviates the activity...before we add yet another anti-seizure med. Any feedback would be appreciated...I have just never heard of this med...I know it is used for high blood pressure.

The only thing I can say, is that when I sleep less hours it is very likely to have a small sz. And that's very common I think. The other, is that when I sleep more hours than I usually do (it is often at weekends), I will certenly have some small szs. Andreas
