Generic for Vimpat?
Fri, 08/22/2014 - 21:27Does anyone know when this will be available? One patent related to it expired August 2014, but I haven't been able to find any information about a generic version. I can't afford the name brand with my current insurance. Fortunately with the ACA in place I should be able to get name brand medication covered, but that would be more per month
The generic is lacosamide.

The generic is lacosamide. Both work and do stop seizures for many people. I use vimpat just like keppra both are made by the same company. I have used generic keppra for many years now If yo uare having money issues by all means check out the get help section because most drug companies have programs that can be used to get a 6 month supply.
