Epilepsy and cannabis oil...does it work?

Wed, 05/25/2016 - 21:25
My husband recently got a card for cannabis oil from a natural path doctor. I find there is little research online, and curious if anyone has positive results. He will still be taking seizure meds, this will be an "add on". We want to try everything before we go the surgical route....thoughts??

The person that you need to be talking to is hie neurologist especially is he has a card. If it is leagle on oyur state then the neurologists have the information you need to have when using CBC. I know that even tho it isn't legal in my state that Doc knew what was needed. We discussed it and all other prodedures  that might help me get better control.I hope this helps and do call his neurologist and talk about it. It has helps some people.Joe

I've asked my doctor multiple

I've asked my doctor multiple times about marijuana and benefits for epilepsy. He said there is simply not enough science to support its beneficial for epileptics. Best combination to prevent seizures: take your meds on time, manage stress, sleep well, don't drink alcohol, healthy diet, and positive mental attitude. That being said; smoke pot if it helps calms you down, makes you more comfortable, or want to. I know I do.
