drugs

My case is not that serious, I am medicated against seizures and I'm advised by the neurology consultant that I need not ever have seizures. I take 1700mg Sodium Valporate and 100mg Lamotrogine daily but I'm not sure that these are the drugs for me. I still have grand-mal seizures every month or so which I could do without, especially as I dislocate my shoulder every time I have a seizure. Now I need surgery to stabilise the shoulder but have to be seizure free for three months before they'll consider it. So my seizures occur to often for this to ever take place. After 13 years I'm still not sure if I'm on the right drugs. I'm not receiving much support from my neurologist so I'd appreciate any advice I can get.
