drug treatment statics for grand mal

my sister is 16 and she had her first grand-mal seizure about 3 monthes ago and her second after about 40 days. then the neurologist Prescribed depakine once a day.but unfortunately she had third seizure after 50 days. she is going to see neurologist again tomorrow.i love my sister and when she is during seizure i go truely crazy.i am sooooo afraid about her seizures and when i think her epilepsy just may be uncontrollable anyway....
i know 70% of seizure are controllable by drugs but what about just grand-mal kind? is there any Promising news??
pls. help me...

My son has tonic clonic seizures only and they are controlled with sodium valporate (epilim) I hope it works out well for your sister :)
