He is on clobazam once a day although his dose for his weight is way above what it should be. Does anyone know if the immune system gets comprimised being on seizure medications? thanks Jacqueline

I have never heard of seizure medication lowering the body's immune system. It could be that there is another problem going on that hasn't been diagnosed. Have you brought this up with his pediatrician? A few simple blood tests can usually find the culprit.

YES!! My son is currently going through IV infusions to replace the antibodies that his body no longer makes. His docs believe it to be caused by his Lamictal. Be aware that it can happpen but is not listed as a side effect in the drug pamphlets. Be sure to ask your doctor to run a blood test to check his/her IGg. IGa, and IGm levels.
