DNA Tests Find Best Seizure Meds

Sun, 01/31/2016 - 11:48

Hi Folks,

I've had epilepsy for 44 yrs. and had 2 brain surgeries to help reduce my sz. but I still continue having them because I found out I was drug resistant to all AED's (anti epileptic drugs) after having a DNA test done.

If you want to find out what AED's are the best for you ask your Dr. to do a DNA test on you. All they have to do is draw a few tubes of blood and wipe the inside of your mouth with a q-tip. All of this will go to the lab and the techs can see how many enzymes you have in your liver along with seeing your body chemistry and with those things they can match that up to the best AED's for you with the least side effects.  I've been on over 10 different AED's and nothing stopped the sz. I don't want any of you to go through the same thing I did trying drug after drug so be sure and ask your Dr. to do the DNA test. I wish you all only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

I've been reading alot lately about how DNA tests can help pinpoint which medications are likely to be most beneficial to a person with seizures while causing them the least amount of side effects.I wanted to know if anyone on this forum has utilized such an approach and if they found it to be helpful? Any other DNA testing out there relevant to epilepsy?    http://www.trainingintambaram.in/pega-training-in-chennai.html  |  http://www.traininginsholinganallur.in/vmware-training-in-chennai.html
