Depakote & Dilantin

Sat, 06/24/2017 - 16:48
I am 29 years old and have epilepsy now for the past several years now. I've been on dilantin and depakote for a while now. Every time I have the seizure my dosage goes up. I take 2000 mgs of depakote and 400mgs of dilantin. Throughout the years being on the medication I have changed alot. I'm confused all the time, brain fog, shaky, tired. I was a long time weightlifter and now Im soo tired all the time after work to even get my exercise in. No motivation to do my house work. It's very depressing. I have a wonderful fiance who's been by my side since the beginning. It effects her alot too. I never want to go out. I once had a happy normal outgoing life but just thinking back. Since I've been diagnosed and treated for my epilepsy. My life has changed alot. My doctor ignores me when I tell him my issues and help continue to up my doses with every episode I have. I plan on seeing an epilepsy specialist here soon. Hopefully bring me some of my life back. I'm sorry for this rant. I'm just curious if anyone else is going through or has been through this also. Shoot, I can't even drink more than one beer anymore without feeling sick. Anyone else experience the same issues? Thank you Josh
