Hi Joan, I have been on Cymbalta since November, and on Keppra since last June. I take 1500mg Keppra in the am, and 1500mg Keppra at nite. Until last week, I was taking 60mg Cymbalta in the am, but they increased it to 90mg in am, and will probably increase it again to 120mg next month. So far, I have been happy with the Cymbalta, and up until recently, it really was helping with the depression. As always though, I hit a big rough spot in the road, and we had to increase the anti-depressant again. Always happens, no matter what I take. We're hoping that either 90mg or 120mg will help, along with the VNS. I'll keep you posted. As far as Keppra, it sure hasn't helped with the depression, and hasn't helped with my seizures either much. I''m on the max dosage, so in July, my epi will add something else. She said that without the Keppra, I would probably be in constant TC's, according to my latest EEG. Not a lot of hope of getting all the seizures control, right now, we're working towards improving quality of life, which includes a reduction in seizures and elimination of depression.
