Without knowing how long she

Without knowing how long she has been on medications it is hard to give you a lot of information. Some people will say only one medication should be used at 1 time. There are others that will tell you to get a second opennion and the list goes on. I have taken 3 different medications at the same time and I was seizure free for 3 years. I started having a few and we changed my dosages and I still have a seizure every 8-14 days. The seizures I have yo uwould know nothinng about since they last a few seconds and the time to get back to normal is also in seconds. Back to medications. If she has just started taking medications in the last month but is still having seizures but the number is reduced then those medications are working but the levels need to be adjusted. So contact her neurologist and discuss this issue with him/her and her dosages may be changed and a medication or 2 may be stopped. As for control or complete control>>>> You need to find out more information before complete control is available. SUrgery is an issue but it can't be done on many people. Newer medication can and has helped many people. I have been doing drug studies for some years now and have been because I want medications to have fewer side effects and control seizures better then tehy were 50+ years ago when I was diagnosed with epilepsy. I has testss done.Including 20-25 EEG's all the tests came back normal. Until I fell asleep in the last EEG. In that EEG they found abnormalities (seizure activity). By finding that activity they knew where in the brain it cane from. The neurologists then looked at the neuro-angeogram (MRI of the 1960"s) by examining thearea the activity came from closer they founc scared brain tissue in the left lobes of my brain. That diagnosis was backed up by my current neuro.Call her neurologist and discuss this issue with him medications to stop seizures can also cause seizures in some people. But her neurologist may be able to increase or decrease her medications. Oh and I do know about not wanting aperson to take medications. I was one and I seill hate taking medications. I also know what can happen after not taking medications that had been doing what they were designed to do. I hope this helps Joe
