Are Carbamazipine Side Effects Permanent?

Sat, 02/13/2016 - 18:41

I am finally coming off Carbamzipine after almost 23 years of use.  I am 37 years old and have experianced some of the rarest side effects possible.  I hate the drug in so many ways, but I do owe it a big "thank you" for all that I have been able to overcome while using it.  I am wondering if the side effects will eventually go away or could they be permanent after some many years of use?

generally after your last

generally after your last pill is taken it takes 4-8 weeks for the therapeutic levels to get out of your body, After that time period you side effects should go away. Your neurologist can answer your question better. Also understand that epilepsy does damage the brain by itself along with the medications.
