Anyone Taking Diamox???

I don't know of anyone else taking Diamox. I take it as an extra med during my menstral cycle for catamenial seizures. Does anyone else take this?? I have weird side effects such as when I drink soda I only taste the carbination and not the syrup. I also get really ticked off for no apparent reason. It affects my appetite. I really hate it, but it works. I just cant' forget to take it, or my seizures are really bad instead of just bad. Any info on this would be great

Hello !!
I have been on Diamox for 3 months, along with my other meds...
Trileptal, Topamax,Lyrica.
When I started the Topamax,I lost my taste for soda...blech.
I also lost my taste for most foods for a few months, and lost 45 pounds.
Anger? Depression, I am feeling it now. But it comes in waves.
I started the Topamax in Feb. of this year., I dont remember when I started the Lyrica...sorry...memory.
Trileptal?.... about 7 years. the longest ever.
I am going to be 48 in November and due to my lack of cycles...well you can guess what is going on.
My seizures?....I used to get one every day or more, now ?.... none,I do have a seizure, but not during my cycle. It was like clock work.
Hope this was somewhat helpful, hope I made sence...lol.

I was wondering how things have been in the months since your post? I had a seizure about a week ago and my Dr. believes that it is due to catamenial exacerbation. I am in the process of changing from Lamictal to Keppra. He also mentioned the possibility of including Diamox during my menstrual cycles after I am fully on the Keppra. Can you share any info you have about Diamox? Thanks!
