Any ladies of child-rearing age try cannibis for their seizures? I'm going on drug # 7 and hopefully it will work but being on 2 drugs at once is not ideal if I want to get pregnant... any experience with that?
What about with cannibis? Anyone try it? I got my medical card a few weeks ago and I'm ready to try CBD. My neuro is neither for nor against it, only because there is not enough research!

Go to YouTube and watch CNN's Sanjay Gupta's report on CBD and seizures..."Weed"...it's about Charlotte and her battle with seizures NOT being controlled with prescription medicine.I also give my dog CBD for his seizures (I had to take him off the Phenebarb he was prescribed because he was a zombie on it)...he's been on it for a couple of years and only occasionally has a seizure.Dosing is the hardest part.

Marijuana effects everyone differently. I smoked alot in my teens growing up which is when I developed epilepsy . I got mixed messages from doctors telling me it's o.k then my neurologist telling me no its not o.k. Finally after struggling with bad seizures for 3 years I was prescribed Keppra and was also advised to give quitting marijuana a shot and I did. I have been seizure free since 2014 shortly after making those 2 changes and haven't been happier with my choice. I can't exactly say whether it was just the keppra that helped or the quitting smoking combined with it but I now know that it does effect everyone's brain differently especially people who have different types of seizures. So definitely give that some thought. I wish you luck

Haha, I tried CBD oil last year. I took Haleigh's Hope. It didn't really help my seizures, but the main reason I went off was because it gave me bad cognitive side effects while I was finishing college. However, I know of many people who take it with wonderful results. You dose yourself, so you find the dose that works the best.
