Sleeplessness...Help!!!

Mon, 05/30/2011 - 03:14

Hi, I’m suffering from an acute case of insomnia since last 4-5 months. My doc says sleep is a must for epileptic patients (m sure u all know that) in other words sleep is medicine. He suggested mild sleeping pills but warned me against addiction. I started by taking them twice a week but I think I’m addicted to them now. I’m scared they might clash with my epilepsy medication and cause some side-effect. Can anyone please suggest some homemade remedy for sleeplessness? Reason for my insomnia is anxiety and tension. Going thru a bit of a rough patch actually. This is making my family go crazy and they have lost their patience with me. It’s really frustrating just lying down for hours staring at the ceiling. Pl help!!! :(

Have you tried Sleepeze from Tylenol?  I found it worked for me and it was non addictive.  My son is having seizures right now and I am giving Adivan to relax and fall asleep.  As soon as we can get his seizures to stop we won't need the Adivan anymore.

Hope you get some sleep your body and brain needs it.
