Senior Thesis Project

Thu, 09/08/2016 - 14:25
Hello, my name is Joanna, and I am an industrial design student working on my senior thesis. My focus for this project is to design a product for individuals with epilepsy. Having a brother with Juvenile Epilepsy, I have seen firsthand the problems a lot of individuals face on a daily basis. There is a huge need for new products to address particular needs in the home, out in public, or in hospital settings. Since this is such a large topic, I would appreciate any input/ideas you have for me. Are there particular problems that you face that needs to be addressed? What have you done to overcome these obstacles in the past? When going out in public, have you been faced with particular safety concerns? Do you feel comfortable that the people around you would know how to react should you have a seizure? Any other comments/concerns? Thank you so much.
