New med. started today

Hi everyone,

Our daughter CF, 11 y/o, began Keppra this morning.  She had blood test today for 4th time in 2 weeks, to determine what else has been making her sick.  She is so "loopy" since being on Depakote alone for last 17 days (when Lamictal was removed cold-turkey) that her anxiety about blood tests, schoolwork etc. is almost gone.  But, having a "drunk" 11 y/o who wets the bed at least nightly is not a good thing obviously.  People ask, "what can I do?  What do you need?"  Don't ask...just bring the home-cooked food!!  (smile)  Hope Santa Claws will bring lots of clean fresh PJs and sheets this year...will keep you all posted...no, CF has never had a grand mal and just 2-3 T/C-like events.  Her 24-hr.  ambulatory EEG was done 3 weeks ago-still absence sz. on that plus patterns for T/C-JME.   It is so good to have friend like you out there in TV land who understand what we're going through.  BTW, her doc. plans to gradually increase the Keppra over next 2-3 weeks, see how she is, then start weaning her off Depakote-yay!!  Be blessed everyone.
