My daughter sleeps so much.

Wed, 06/08/2016 - 12:23
Hi everyone. My 13 year-old daughter has been diagnosed with deep temporal lobe epilepsy (simple partials) for 3 years now, though they suspect she's had epilepsy most of her life with different types of seizures because she always had staring spells and other episodes, but they couldn't "catch" them on the EEGs. She is currently on 350mg. Lamictal and 500mg. Depakote ER, both divided into 2 doses, morning and night. She has always had fatigue as she also has cerebral palsy. But lately she is truly sleeping excessively, sometimes more than 20 hours a day. We've started logging it, but she may be sleeping more during her cycle. Can anyone give me insight? The doctors don't seem to know. She had a sleep study when she was 5 and has obstructive sleep apnea and had her tonsils and adenoids removed at that time. Thanks so much.
