lesional epilepsy

Wed, 11/29/2006 - 10:09
I am new to this forum. Looking for someone who has lesional epilepsy. My 8 year old daughter has it and had 2 partial seizures due to the lesion she has. She apparently had a stroke at birth we did not know about. She is on trileptal and it is working very well. My question is I know she will define herself in regards to the epilepsy, however, has anyone outgrown this and had it go into remission after AED withdrawal? She is doing very well and has been excelling in school and extracurricular activities. We have been told she is very lucky and that the stroke could of been much worse. Any feedback would be great. Thanks, oneillbr17
