Dizzy Spells

My son is 15 years old. He had a Gran mal seizure almost a week ago today it was different than the last one he had. This time after the seziure the after effect did not go away here it is almost a week later and he is still dizzy and disoriented. I have been in contact with his neuro and his family Dr. they seem to think there is nothing unusual to this. I feel like I am going crazy but I see my son barely getting around without bracing onto something for support and not able to stay even on the most simple task it is almost like having a toddler again. Are the dizzy spells normal after a seizure and if so how long do they generally last? I am afraid to send him to school out of fear of him falling down the stairs.
