HI my 6 year old daughter also has partial complex seizures since she is 2 years old that alway turn into status. She has had maybe 10 seizures in her life but all needed to be treated with diastat injection. If left untreated she could seizure for hours. And to make matters worse she mostly has nocturnal seizures so I was never sure if her meds were working... My daughter in going into 1st grade next year and her developement seems to be on target. She once had a seizure while hospitalized that lasted for over an hour so I too worried about brain damage or developemental delays but her neurologist is happy with her testing and her teacher feels she is right on target. She takes neurontin and is being started on lamictal due to an increase of seizure activity in the last year. hope I helped ...
